Happy Valentine's Decorating!
Since I've recently returned to Iowa from my extended holiday travels, I'm just getting back into the blogging, cooking, artist groove! Between unpacking, cleaning, and editing through hundreds of photos, I haven't had much time to think about valentine's decorations. I did take down most of the Christmas decorations. Luckily, I am able to use the white and cream colored wreath, which I made for my "White Christmas" theme, for Valentine's Day!
my simply sweet white wreath
Did you get to see my DIY Garland & Wreath blog post where I show how to make this simply stunning wreath? My all-white-theme at Christmas was definitely a bonus, because this wreath is perfect for many occasions! All I had to do was take down the glittery gold Merry Christmas text that I had hung in the center and hang my chalkboard heart in its place.

In addition to my Valentine wreath, I made a small banner that I used to dress up the pottery cabinet in our dining room. I chose to avoid the traditional pinks and reds for my Valentine's decorating this year. These decorations feel unique to our house and color palette and still provide a punch of festive flare.
The banner was made using scrapbook paper, glue, scissors, and hung with gray & white striped bakers twine.
What will you do to decorate for Valentine's Day?
Over the top or simple does it?
Pinks & Reds?
Purples & Golds?
